Festival Lutke 2020 - A big thank to all of you!

16. 10. 2020

On Thursday 8 October, the 15th International Festival of Contemporary Puppetry Art, LUTKE 2020, hosting theatres from France, Belgium, Portugal, Czech Republic, Spain, and Slovenia, concluded with the performance Eh man hé staged by the Spanish group Zero. The Festival also saw the premiere of the puppet performance for an adult audience entitled Still Life, directed by Tin Grabnar.

Despite the obstacles and problems caused by measures to combat the spread of the new coronavirus, and construction works at the Šentjakob Stage which prevented the full implementation of the programme at the original venue, the Festival art director Ajda Rooss, together with her team, succeeded in creating the festival programme.

The audience had the chance to enjoy 13 performances and two installations at Kino Šiška, Pionirski dom, The House of Children and Arts, Ljubljana’s Old Power Station, and the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre. We are grateful to our guests from abroad, who were courageous enough to attend the festival despite the ever-changing everyday situation. In addition, our thanks go to Bunker, Pionirski dom, Kino Šiška, and The House of Children and Arts, who generously hosted us during the renovation. Above all, we would like to thank our spectators who, in this time when the value of culture is being re-evaluated, are still eager to visit us.

A big thank to all of you!
