Dear Sir, Dear Madam,

Its newest edition will feature fresh, quality and diverse puppet, object and visual theatre performances, created at the crossroads between the traditional puppet theatre and the puppetry media research, spreading the puppet's reference space and confirming endless and unimaginable possibilities of its expression, testing the borderline puppetry practices and offering miscellaneous visual expressions …

The puppet performances, presented at the Festival, will be designed for children, young people and adults. Its Programme will be enriched by various exhibitions, off-festival activities, workshops and street actions.

We are proud to announce that the LUTKE 2016 Festival will showcase 26 performances from 15 countries and thus host such renown companies as: Plexus Polaire (France/Norway), Hotel Modern (Netherlands), Paul Zaloom (USA), Kalle Nio/WHS and Nordic Puppet Ambassadoraas (Finland), TJP Centre Dramatique National D’Alsace, AÏE AÏE AÏE and Magali Rousseau / Compagnie L’Insolite Mécanique (France)  Sofie Krog Theater (Denmark), Ariel Doron (Israel), Naivní divadlo Liberec (Czech Republic), NUKU Theatre (Estonia), Tof Théâtre (Belgium), Electric Circus and Babok (Netherlands),Tuning People & Kinderenvandevilla (Belgium), The Last Great Hunt (Australia), Lutkovno gledališče Ljubljana and Lutkovno gledališče Maribor (Slovenia) .

You are kindly invited to join us at the Meeting of the Artistic Directors and Selectors of some important European Puppet Theatre Festivals to be held at the Lutkovno gledališče Ljubljana, on Sunday, 11 September 2016 at 12 am.

We also hope that you will be able to attend the formal release of the Professional Journal for Puppetry Art LUTKA, followed by a round table New Technologies in Modern Puppet Theatre or Theatre of Animated Forms, to take place with the participation of both Slovenian and foreign puppetry experts on Monday, 12 September, at 11. We will be quite happy to provide you with complimentary tickets to all the performances and events of the LUTKE 2016 Festival as well as a hotel accommodation including breakfast from 9 to 14 September 2016.
