Full MoonDream Musical, length 45 min

A musical performance taking us on a journey into the poetic world of dreams and cheerful night-time illusions with which the full moon is teasing a “sleeping” family of four.

With magical song and dance, the performance unfolds the paradox about dreams: every night, when we fall asleep, we actually wake up in a dream. Dreams are a peculiar state of wakefulness—a place of play which is not subject to the logics and laws of the daylight vigilance. In Full Moon, the family and the spectators “wake up” in a different reality, in a space that is different than the one they have entered in order to “fall asleep”.

The new text from Nebojša Pop-Tasić, with music from Polona Janežič, mostly takes the form of amusing songs. Employing music, singing, dancing and colourful set and costume designs, the performers create an entertaining display of the playful logic behind dreams, and transform an ordinary bedroom into a vivid space of dream miracles produced by the playful Moon.

Every object can come to life in our dreams, for we are the ones who enable that. Our creative perception and attitude towards those objects breathe life into them. Thus, dreams are simultaneously a playful analysis, commentary and the poetry of life. Dreams are the space of the human spirit, which is, paradoxically, much broader in comparison with the space that we are able to perceive when we are awake. We could say that dreams are a fairy-tale world living within us.
