Merry-Go-RoundInteractive performance, length 90 min

Horse, elephant, monkey, cow, pig, squirrel. Words in themselves carry no meaning until they are consumed in verbal games. The tossing of words up, down, left, right in an endless swirl between the public and the private creates a carousel of (in)acceptable, (in)correct, (non)problematic expressions.

Populism transforms the culture of violence into tools of entertainment, carnival machines, power plays and  fifteen-minutes of fame. In this contemporary societal circus, dissenters become freaks, targets of mockery. In an instant, you can switch from riding the flying horse to riding a pig on this perpetual merry-go-round. We are all a part of this brutal game, it is just a question of who rides whom.

The Merry-Go-Round is emerging and spinning from public spaces to dark tunnels and hidden shelters in the city center. Come and go-round with us.
