From Stage to Museum

The From the Stage to the Museum programme first invites you to a performance at Lutkovno gledališče Ljubljana, followed by a visit to the Museum of the Puppetry, located at Ljubljana Castle.

After the performance of Four Musicians, we will meet in the foyer of the Small Stage and take the funicular up to Ljubljana Castle. Through play and exploration, we will discover the characteristics of different puppet techniques – marionettes, hand puppets, shadow puppets and more – as well as some of Slovenia’s most famous puppets.

After the guided tour, we will even have the chance to play with puppets on real theatre stages. It’s going to be puppetry, play and lots of fun!

The €13 ticket includes the performance, a funicular ride and a guided tour of the Museum of Puppetry. Tickets are available at the Lutkovno gledališče Ljubljana box office, or you can reserve them by email at blagajna@lgl.si. Tickets are not available for purchase online.
