Guided tours

The Ljubljana Puppet Museum offers a wide range of guided tours, tailored to different age groups and interests of visitors. Tours are available for school groups, kindergartens, families and all curious visitors who want a multi-sensory and in-depth insight into the world of Slovenian puppetry. The exhibition is also suitable for the blind and visually impaired, as audio guides are available, and visitors can also touch the objects and listen to audio recordings.

Are you planning a visit with a school or kindergarten?

The museum exhibition, which features selected works from Slovenian puppet history, is designed to be multi-sensory. Students view the exhibits, touch them, listen to music from puppet shows, and explore and try out various puppet techniques. Guided tours complement and build on the knowledge acquired in class, as they include knowledge from various fields, such as history, literature, fine arts, ethnology, music, natural sciences, and geography. They encourage creativity and highlight the importance of art and the preservation of puppet heritage.

Price for group visits with a school or kindergarten: 4 euros/child (guided tour of the museum) or 5.5 euros/child (guided tour of the museum + funicular) or 10 euros/child (From the Stage to the Museum program).

Group visits and guided tours must be arranged in advance. It is best to let us know your wishes at the beginning of the school year. We can also customize guided tours based on your expectations. For more information, please call us at +396 1 300 09 75 or contact us via the inquiry form.
