Soul Mates is a wordless, poetic performance that celebrates the untamed imagination and sensory freedom of childhood. Somewhere between visual art, movement and ritual, the performance builds a quiet world where people reconnect with nature, instinct and wonder. At the heart of the performance is the figure of the Wild Child, a symbolic presence embodying freedom, curiosity, vulnerability and transformation. With carefully crafted visual imagery, movement, costumes and immersive soundscapes, Soul Mates creates a dreamlike theatrical experience where bodies and natural forms merge into one another.
Rather than following a traditional narrative, the performance unfolds through sensations, rhythms and visual poetry, creating a rare opportunity to slow down, observe and experience theatre through presence rather than through information. In a world overwhelmed by speed, noise and constant stimulation, Soul Mates proposes silence, attentiveness and emotional openness as acts of resistance.
Non verbal.
Magali Chouinard combines visual arts and puppetry to create poetic, non verbal worlds that explore materiality, nature and emotional presence through masks, objects, movement and contemplative visual imagery.
