Through rhythm, repetition, sound and physical action, The Wood Paths transforms simple materials into a poetic and absurd reflection on humanity’s endless desire to shape, organise and control the world. Wood is cut, stacked, balanced, broken, restored and rearranged in an increasingly complex theatrical ritual that moves between construction, choreography and destruction.

The performance explores the relationship between people, work, material and culture through the language of physical theatre. Every movement, strike, silence and fragment becomes part of an evolving stage composition, where precision and chaos coexist constantly. Without relying on traditional narrative, The Wood Paths constructs meaning through repetition, physical presence, visual composition and live sound. Gradually, the performers’ actions become increasingly absurd, revealing both the beauty and the futility of human attempts to impose order on the world around them.

The performance combines humour, mastery and a meditative rhythm into a theatrical experience that is both intimate and monumental. At its heart lies a simple yet unsettling question: how much of human civilisation is creation, and how much is endless repetition?
