Every day, between 20 and 50 million lorries travel the world’s roads, transporting goods that sustain global trade and modern consumer culture. Transport: Cargo enters this relentless system through the intimate story of a lorry driver caught between impossible deadlines, economic pressure and physical exhaustion. As the journey unfolds, the performance gradually reveals the hidden human costs that lie behind the speed and efficiency of global logistics.

Transport: Cargo explores environmental destruction, the exploitation of the workforce and the moral compromises inherent in modern transport systems. A chance encounter during a tense night-time drive and a shocking event force the protagonist to confront questions of responsibility, complicity and survival in an increasingly depleted world. Through a personal story shaped by pressure and isolation, the performance reflects on the invisible structures that sustain a hyper-consumerist society and asks what the price of endless movement and economic growth is.
