Creative Europe Project

Transport is a three-year European co-production project conceived by director Tin Grabnar and funded by the European Commission through the Creative Europe programme. It brings together six renowned international theatre institutions: Lutkovno gledališče Ljubljana and Lutkovno gledališče Maribor (Slovenia), Klaipėdos Lėlių Teatras (Lithuania), Białostocki Teatr Lalek (Poland), Eesti Noorsooteater (Estonia), and Divadlo Alfa Plzeň (Czech Republic).

Each institution has created its own production, together forming a cycle of six intimate performances. The works explore transport as one of the defining pillars of globalisation, examining its social, environmental and ethical dimensions. Through hyper-realistic visual and sound design, the performances reveal the interconnected nature of these issues in contemporary society, inviting audiences to reflect on their own impact on the world. The six performances are dramaturgically structured into a single, interconnected whole that transcends conventional theatrical formats while embracing a sustainable model of international collaboration and touring.

As part of the LUTKE Festival, all six performances will be presented together in Ljubljana for the first time. They will be staged in the studios of the University of Ljubljana Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television (UL AGRFT), located at Aškerčeva cesta 5.
